So, until I find a primer that tops this, I’ll stick with this. Even if you’re using a high end primer, this one takes the cake. If you’re not sure that this is the primer for you, you can always get a sample at Sephora but I’ll give you a warning: Unfortunately, if you fall in love with it (which you will), there is no going back. And considering that you only require one pump for every time you use it, it will last you for a while as compared to a regular primer that you have to get every month and it still does nothing for you. Instead you get this and get a regular foundation, concealer and powder (you don’t really need it) and it will all be worth it at least. All of that will end up being more expensive. Then you’ll think about getting a powder and a good setting spray for that airbrushed looks you see on YouTube and none of that will work because the primer won’t help anything that you put on top of it. I thought about it and I know it’s expensive for one item but if you don’t get it, you will get a great foundation and good enough concealer and a good enough primer. I know its still better than many other high end stuff but $52 dollars taken out of your bank for one primer seems a lot and personally speaking, I cringe a little whenever I see the price tag. However, I’m not gonna ignore the downside to this primer. Whenever I buy something YSL, I can’t seem to throw out the packaging: its a sad obsession but oh well. Every product of theirs is packed artistically and looks super luxurious. Also the gold flecks are really pretty and don’t get me started on YSL’s packaging. You probably just have to apply one pump of the primer and you should be all good. The best thing about it is that a little bit goes a long way. Keep in mind that this is May so it was hot outside but when I came back home maybe a few hours later, it still looked very nice, except for occasional creases on my cheeks, which was understandable because I’ve got dimples on my cheeks so it happens. But regardless of my problematic skin, the primer did something so magical that my makeup looked like it was blended into my skin and not sitting on top. My makeup looked airbrushed, which was weird for me because I have an oily skin with terrible eczema patches that flare up almost every morning. I applied the Touche Eclat Blur Primer before putting on the rest of my makeup and going out to run errands and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be like one of those primers that are really expensive and turn out to be nothing more than ordinary. So when Yves Saint Laurent sent me a sample of their Touche Eclat Blur Primer, I was skeptical. There have also been multiple high-end primers that have disappointed me so much (I’ll talk about all of them in a blog post later). It can either make your makeup look airbrushed as a real life facetune or it can make it seem like you wore makeup to the gym. I’m very picky when it comes to primers because over the past few years I’ve noticed what a big difference a good primer makes.
